Got a brand spankin’ new blog template that’s more ideal for showcasing photos and I’m now hosting my blog on my website! Yay. But never fear….the photo-ey goodness you find here, has been transferred to the new blog.  It was just time to move on. So thanks for reading and if you have me bookmarked make sure it’s changed! :)

LOL. Here’s a shot a got the other night that I thought I’d share. My dad and I have a telescope that he got us when I was in highschool. We used to go out and just stargaze, but since I left for college, got married, moved out of state and had the Squirt, we haven’t had much of a chance to do as much stargazing (moon-gazing) as we used to. So….I visited them last week on the way home from my MI wedding and Dad and I got to dust the scope off and do a little night time photography….which we never had attempted before. And I must say, I think that our first try at it was pretty successful. So here’s what we came up with:

This lovely couple is Sarah & Kyle! They were married at Oakland Christian Church in Rochester, Michigan. The day was gorgeous, the ceremony was gorgeous, the church itself was gorgeous, and of course, the bride was gorgeous! Everything was just gorgeous!:) Sarah & Kyle, you guys were tons of fun. Thank you so much and here are just a few of my favorites from your day….

*** This is my favorite photo from the day. The church is adding on and building a whole new wing including a new sanctuary, and the construction was supposed to be finished by Sarah & Kyle’s wedding day…but as you can see….it’s not quite done. However, it did provide a cool backdrop for photos. Sarah, thank you for being willing to go into the dirty construction zone with your beautiful dress to get these shots! You’re awesome! :)

On Saturday, Lynnae & Aaron got married in front of the waterfall at Lake of the Woods.  This wedding was really fun because I had the pleasure of photographing their boys last summer, so I had gotten to work them before.  Here are just a couple of my favorites from the day:

Had an e-session this past weekend with Jim & Kelli and their adorable daughter, Piper. We had our shoot at Allerton which is a gorgeous backdrop; however, this late in the spring…very mosquito infested as we regrettably found out. Haha…They were all real troopers though and here are some of my favorite shots from their session:

Stephen & Stephanie are married!  Yay!  They got hitched this past weekend in Plainfield, NH in the most beautiful church I’ve ever seen and I was honored to be a part of their celebration.

This was a fun wedding for me as it was entirely a family affair….yes, weddings are usually family affairs, but this time I mean MY family.  Stephen and his family attended my dad’s church, and so asked my dad to perform the ceremony.  My sister was asked to help out with the music (She’s an awesome violist!) and my mom was the “wedding day coordinator!”  And…well…I got to take the photos (yay!).  So here are just a few quick fun (and funky) edits from their day.  Thanks for looking! :)

Here are just a few photos from my trip to Maine last week. My parents, sister and I took a quick detour there before Stephen & Stephanie’s wedding to see a few lighthouses…

Just some quick edits from Katie and Nathan’s big bash from this past weekend. Thank you both for having me as your photographer. You guys were so much fun and I had a blast capturing your day! :)

Yesterday I had an engagement shoot with Jennifer and Jake, whose wedding I have then pleasure of shooting this coming fall. Both of them are graduates of U of I, which is also where they first met, and so they wanted to get some photos on campus, which is kind of special I thought!:) So here are a few images that I liked from yesterday’s shoot:
