Hi and welcome to my brand new blog! I’m Dani. I’m a portrait photographer based out of the Champaign, IL area. My interest in photography began during jr. high and continued through to college where I worked on both the yearbook and newspaper staff and gained tons of valuable experience. After college, I decided to turn my interest into a business, and so almost 3 years ago I started Tigerlily Photography and I couldn’t imagine doing anything else.
Last year I gained a second job when my husband and I welcomed our first child, a baby girl that we affectionately nicknamed “Squirt.” While being a photographer is my dream job, being Squirt’s mother surpasses it by far. It’s amazing to watch this little person grow and discover the world, little-by-little, day-by-day; and she awes and inspires me just as often. I believe being a mom gives me a unique perspective as a photograher. I know how precious the milestones are, the expressions are, the smiles are, all of those beautiful moments are. I want to capture these moments so that you can hold on to those times forever.
When I’m not behind my camera, you can find me hanging out with my husband and Squirt, reading, stuffing my face with raspberry milanos or giving my house that long-awaited cleaning.
